"X-Men Origins: Wolverine" (2009) is seriously put in jeopardy... (lol)

Okay?

Okay.

I moved the Vietnam events of Origins to 1979, because William Stryker is older than his DOFP appearance and is a Major, not a simple Lieutenant like in DOFP.

Anyway, I must confess I'm starting to think Origins is a third timeline, a standalone continuity, a "what if" story. 2016's X-Men: Apocalypse will tell. It depends on how they are gonna handle Cyclops, Marvel Girl, Gambit, Deadpool and Wolverine in future post-DOFP X-Men movies.

Stay tuned... I am here.

  1. I still consider this event in Origins taking place in 73, but a few months after the moment in DOFP. In between, Stryker got a promotion. Ok the actor is much older in Origins, but it's because the movie takes place during a large perio of time. So you have to consider that the age of the actor doesn't follow logic. The actor has the age of Stryker only at the end of the movie, in the last year the movie takes place. You just have to imagine that in the beginning, he's much younger in universe than what he looks in real life.

So basically, to make it fit, imagine that the "right" age for Stryker is the one he looks in DOFP, and that a few month later he got promoted, and then Origins happens ;)

  2. Origins is still canon, followed by X1, X2 and X3. Remember what Xavier saw in Logan's mind in DOFP when he searched for answers. Wolverine had his claws on his left hand broken by Sabertooth. That happened in Origins. So no, not a third timeline but part of the Original Timeline.
